Raid issues after upgrading Engarde

Postby shockware on Fri Jul 10, 2009 4:31 pm

Here's what is happening, I have log files from a working server and the server that went down.
It won't boot and drops to single user mode during "Checking filesystems" because md0 doesn't exist.

We have both servers setup in a similar manner, md0 is /boot and md1 is root.

To get the broken server back up I added the following to the /etc/init.d/checkfs file:
mdadm -S /dev/md0
mdadm -A /dev/md0 /dev/hda1 /dev/hdb1

The problem possibly happens here, but why ... ?
md: md0 still in use.
